NW Quadrant Workshop a Success. Still Opportunities to Participate

The Manchester 2020 Quadrant meetings got off to a successful start last night at the 8th Utilities District offices. Over 60 members of the community came together to discuss what is currently going on in this area of town and what we would like to see in the future. Participants were split up into five small groups and rotated to five stations, each focusing on one growth management principle. The groups shared ideas and answered several questions about how each principle related, or could relate to the Northwest quadrant. Planning department staff will now compile all the ideas expressed at the workshop, and conduct research in preparation for a follow-up meeting in the fall.

If you were unable to attend, you still have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion on this quadrant. On Wednesday, July 7th from 12-6, staff will be available at the 8th Utilities District offices at 18 Main Street. We will have maps with comments from last night's meeting on hand and will be available to anyone who wishes to drop in and offer input. Participants at last night's meeting are also welcome to stop by to see the compiled ideas and comments.

From here, we will be moving to the Northeast Quadrant. The Northeast Quadrant meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 27th at 7 PM at the Senior Center at 549 East Middle Turnpike. This workshop will follow the same format and all members of the Manchester community are welcome.
