Final Quadrant Workshop One Week from Today

The Southwest quadrant has been waiting patiently for its day in the sun. Last but not least, the southwest will finally be featured in the final Manchester 2020 quadrant discovery workshop, which will take place on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Manchester Historical Society at 175 Pine Street.

The southwest quadrant includes the historic West Side, the Keeney and part of the Verplanck neighborhood, Manchester Community College, Laurel Marsh, the Cheney mills and mansions, the Spencer Street commercial area, Botticello farms and part of Downtown. As at each of the previous three quadrant discovery workshops, we will be discussing what is currently going on in this area of town, what we would like it to be like in the future and how it might relate to smart growth and sustainable development.

For those unable to attend on the 20th, we will again be holding alternate open hours. Those will be held from 12-6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26th at the Historical Society.

An RSVP is not required, but is appreciated. Please call the Planning Department at 860-647-3044 or email anderson@ci.manchester.ct.us to register.
